If we thought Donald Trump was infuriating before he became unwell, you haven’t seen anything since he contracted coronavirus. On Friday, the US President tweeted he had come down with COVID-19. Now, all appears well in the White House with the leader making a series of publicity stunts and slew of false claims. From a drive by for fans, to standing on a balcony, mask off, waving to his supporters, get prepared for his unsolicited Twitter advice.

Seemingly the expert on all things COVID, Trump published a post overnight saying the pandemic illness is far less “lethal” than the flu.

“Flu season is coming up! Many people every year, sometimes over 100,000, and despite the Vaccine, die from the Flu. Are we going to close down our Country? No, we have learned to live with it, just like we are learning to live with Covid, in most populations far less lethal!!!”

Facebook was swift to delete the post, while Twitter hid it and placed a warning label that says, “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19. However, Twitter has determined that it may be in the public’s interest for the Tweet to remain accessible.”

The misinformation feeds into his followers with more and more American’s becoming ‘lax on the virus. Thus far, over 210,000 Americans have died from Coronavirus.

Now we wait for the further aftermath from Donald Trump. Strap in, this will be interesting.
