Originally introduced in 2014, the Vanguard’s unique tonneau case design quickly became a hit among watch aficionados. Its sleek, curvy shape, free of lugs, retained both comfort and wearability despite its seeming bulk.
Now, the Vanguard Beach takes this design to the next level with a wearable piece of pop art that blends technical perfection and an adventurous aesthetic.
Starting with the watch case, this has been crafted from a special glass fibre composite that mimics the mesmerising ripples of beach sand.
But it’s not all about looks; this watch is as tough as it is beautiful. Lightweight and durable, this glass fibre composite is often found in sports equipment and a key element of the Vanguard design, promising a tough timepiece.
The dial and strap match the vibrant colours of the case create a stunning monochromic finish. According to the Franck Muller team the colours were chosen for the way they inspire feelings of being at the beach: the glistening blues and greens of the sea and the fiery red of the evening as the sun sinks below the horizon.
And let’s not forget the mechanics! Under the hood you’ll find a self-winding MVT FM 800-DT movement with date display and a 42-hour power reserve.
