In addition, the actor took to social media to share his 2020 Emmys look, and of course, it had to be Louis Vuitton. Dressed by Virgil Abloh, Abdul-Mateen donned a striped double-breasted blazer and slim-fit pants combo, while a white shirt with cutoff collars was paired underneath. He was clutching a Louis Vuitton ‘man bag’, and finished the look with chunky black leather loafers, emblazoned with gold chain.

The Watchmen star delivered a speech following the win, saying, “It was a story about police corruption and brutality, but in the midst of all that, it was also the story of a guy who came down to earth to reciprocate to a black woman all the love that she deserved. He’d offer her sacrifice and support. Passion and protection. He did all that in the body of a black man and I’m so proud that I was able to walk into those shoes.”

He continued, “So I dedicate this award to all the black women in my life. The people who believed in me first I call you all my early investors. I love you I appreciate you. This is for you.”

Watchmen creator Damon Lindelof has stepped away from a second season, just nine episodes after the series began. HBO was given the green light to continue without the filmmaker, but has since cancelled the show.
